Founded in 1992 in Barcelona, Octaedro is an independent publishing house specializing in education and communication. With over 2,000 published books, primarily in Spanish, Octaedro is a leading educational publisher in the Spanish-speaking world. Our mission is to connect the educational community through diverse formats, including books, magazines, and multimedia materials. Octaedro is recognized as the top-ranked publisher in Spanish education (SPI) and promotes «El Diario de la Educación,» the most influential education magazine in Spanish, with over 2 million annual users. We have a robust network of schools and educational organizations, focusing on primary, secondary, and higher education. For this project, Octaedro: Utilizes its management resources for project administration; leverages its database and CRM for promotion and networking; implements a train-the-trainers course via our Moodle platform; uses its reputation and contacts in Spain and Latin America to disseminate project content; and provides communication tools and processes to all partners for project monitoring.

Dataninja is an award-winning company providing data-driven learning programs and innovative services in the field of data journalism. Since its inception in 2012 as a non-formal working group of data-driven journalists, trainers, and developers, Dataninja has developed training programs in partnership with universities, newspapers and NGOs. Dataninja also manages the most important Italian community of data journalists with thousands of members. In partnership with the Italian National Research Council and a network of universities, schools, private firms and NGOs, Dataninja is running several initiatives focused on developing an European-wide action to spread learning pathways on media and data literacy, funded by EU Commission’s Erasmus Plus programme, Open Society Foundations and Italian Ministry of Economic Development.

AUTH has 10 faculties, consisting of 44 departments, 5 independent departments, and branches located in surrounding cities. AUTH is today the largest university in the country, with about 42.000 «active» students. AUTH has proceeded recently in many bilateral agreements with universities and research institutions in Europe, the former Soviet Union, the United States, Canada, and Australia. AUTH participates in all European student exchange programs (e.g., Erasmus, Comett, Lingua, Tempus, Med-Campus, Socrates). It is a member of the following international organizations: International Association of Universities, European University Association, Coimbra Group, Community of European Universities, AIMOS Network, Confederation of EU Rectors’ Conferences. Its research is developed in all fields of theoretical and applied science by all the schools and laboratories of the AUTH. All the research is supported by private, public, and European institutions with funding. It’s worth mentioning that AUTH., in the last three-year-period, has collaborated with 1.700 partners (Universities, Research Centres, Companies) for the implementation of 3.500 Research and Technological Development RTD Projects. 1.340 members of the teaching and research staff, 12.000 external co- operators as well as many postgraduate students have participated ιn these projects. The School of Journalism and Mass Communications maintains a sustained record of research output in the major areas of journalism studies, certain aspects of cultural studies and mass communication. In international league tables and university departments for the year 2012-13, prepared by the QS, the Department of Journalism & Media emerged in the top 150 departments ranked 146th in the world, and 50th in Europe. The fact of having AUTH as part of the consortium promotes an important impact of the MELISE project activities and its results are very large and relevant because of the kind of results carried out, creative innovation from outputs and new methodologies embedded in the outcomes (available in 5 different European languages).

Cosicosa is a non-profit association based in Barcelona, Spain. Founded in 2018 by a group of researchers, who integrate the fields of interactive technology and education with the goal of fostering the use of technologies as the means to develop creativity, express and know oneself, as well as understanding the environment. The association promotes critical educational practices in the fields of technology, art, communication, and design, facilitating processes of transformation and social inclusion through the use of art and technology. Additionally, it works to reduce the gender gap in the context of technological and artistic experimentation and creation. Cosicosa designs activities, exhibitions, and educational resources to address the ethical challenges the new technologies arise, using both creativity and design as tools. Their interdisciplinary and research-based approach aims to guide people toward a new way of seeing, experimenting, and learning with technology. Altogether, Cosicosa promotes critical digital literacy through strategies typical of art, design, science, and technology, working in both formal and non-formal education contexts, as well as in teacher training.

IDYL Lernen is a non-profit society based in Müllheim, Germany, founded in 2018. Our mission is to research and develop educational innovation through artistic techniques, culture and technology, while upholding human rights and natural law as principles of social coexistence. We promote Interdisciplinary Dynamic and Ludic learning (IDYL) with the main objective of stimulating holistic creativity and critical thinking for individual and social development. We are committed to the generation of a creative and high-quality education for all, throughout life, through the use of artistic techniques and the ethical and responsible use of technology. We believe that art and culture can contribute to social and cultural integration, development and communication. To this end, we promote the performing arts and dance, and we encourage development cooperation in the field of education. IDYL fosters the participation of professionals connected as co-constructors of networked knowledge, working for a new society: open, critical, dialoguing, responsible, fair, free, diverse, respectful, loving, creative… and offering new spaces to be.
At MELISE, we contribute our expertise in the training of trainers, the design of Integral Educational Gamification, and the visual and interactive communication for the dissemination of the project.

The Media Literacy and Journalism Association (ALPMJ) was founded in 2020, and has trained 180 journalists, communication teachers and researchers on Media Literacy – all part of a pool of trainers available to implement projects and respond to school requests (or other audiences). ALPMJ has trained around 500 teachers and gives support to more than 100 media literacy projects in schools, involving around 8.000 students.

ECO Digital Learning S.L., participated and chaired by the National University of Distance Education (UNED), has the social purpose of spreading a new way of educating through open online courses (MOOC) and optimizing the possibilities of this type of ubiquitous, open, accessible and massive learning on a pan-European scale.
ECO offers the possibility of training citizens throughout their lives. Its main activities are as follows:

  1. Develop actions aimed at promoting the social and educational inclusion of citizens around the world, favoring the growth of open knowledge and collaborative learning.
  2. Provide advisory services to educational institutions, social and governmental agents, as well as private companies, related to the creation, development, implementation and promotion of mass, online and open teaching / learning.
  3. Participate in competitive calls related to continuous training and collaborate in the dissemination of its values in international forums.

Grey-panthers.it provides the over55 audience with daily updated contents. It aims to satisfy the interests and passions of a mature audience, rich in experience and yet open to new comparisons and realities. Interested in overcoming the Digital Divide and in the active role of Digital Citizens.
